It is that time of year when our thoughts turn to warm weather, our winter homes and our winter friends. There are many that will be returning, and many that will not, but somehow we just continue on. One difference this year is our Liberrian will not be with us. The Sweethearts and Liberry Committee will try to take care of things, but it will take us a while to get up and going. Hopefully the Liberry will be open by Nov. 1. However, the recycling will NOT start then as it will take us a little bit to find someone that is willing to take on the responsibility.
Also this year neither of our fearless Chiefs will be with us. Bob (Slobberjaws) health will not permit it (see Ketchup), and Bob (Boomer) will not be here for family reasons. So if someone wants to step up and take charge of the Dog Burns, please let me know and I will get the word out.
Steve Fields is back this year and says that the Thursday hikes will begin in November. Not sure who is in charge of the Wednesday Jeep ride, so just look around on Wed. morning on Gravel Pit road and Senator Wash road at 8:30. More on activities as they gear up. As always, check the bulletin boards by the 1st and 2nd restroom for more info.
Hope you all have a wonderful winter. If anyone wants to give me an article for the Boondocker, my email address is newsletteratsenatorwash@gmail.com. If you don’t have a computer then look for us on Dolly Lane, that is the first small road off of the Wye Road from 5 corners. We have the red and grey semi and live in the Montana.
